Information for Speakers

All lecture rooms are equipped with beamers and laptops.

Electronic presentations have to be copied onto the laptops by use of a USB stick in good time prior to the corresponding session (a least ten minutes in advance). Please, address yourselves to the helpers.

For the presentation the following programs are installed on the laptops: Powerpoint for Windows (also for pptx formats), Keynote and PowerPoint for Mac OS, OpenOffice for Linux; furthermore Acrobat Reader for all mentioned operating systems. We want to make you aware that some fonts may not be installed. Thus, check your presentations once again before the session.

Please, keep the following length of talks in your mind:

• Plenary talk: 40 minutes (+ 5 minutes discussion)
• Major talk: 25 minutes (+ 5 minutes discussion)
• Submitted talk: 15 minutes (+ 5 minutes discussion)

The talks can be given in German or English. We recommend to use slides with English texts even if the talk itself is given in German. We also ask you to let us know in good time if you want to show a video with sound.
