Attention! We changed the lecture rooms! You can find an overview here, the corresponding page in the program booklet here.
- Following the opening ceremony on Thursday, Prof. Mary K. Gaillard (an interview can be found here) will give the opening lecture at 5 pm. She was the first female professor of the physics institute at University of California, Berkeley, and she is the author of „A Singularly Unfeminine Profession: One Woman‘s Journey In Physics“. In her book she narrates her career and her experiences in Europe and the USA.
- There will be events concerning job and career planning and compatibility of family and work. For example various talks by people in industry and buisness and a podium discussion organised by the jDPG.
- We are very proud of a wide spectrum of interdisciplinary scientific presentations and poster session.
- The program will be enriched by a symposium „Topology in Physics – from Skyrmions to Black Holes“ and presentations by Gustav Hertz laureate Lavinia Heisenberg and Hertha Sponer laureate Karin Everschor-Sitte.
- On the first day of the conference you are invited to join one of two guided tours through research facilities of the University.
- As always, there will be free child care for the duration of the conference.
- To win more new students for the STEM field we have organised an interactive programme for female high school students.
- The conference will be rounded off by a social programme and a city tour.
