Welcome to the Women in Physics Conference 2017 in Ilmenau!
|
The 21st German Conference of Women in Physics (Deutsche Physikerinnentagung, DPT) will take place September 28 - October 1, 2017, in Ilmenau.
The Women in Physics Conference is an annual conference of the German Physical Society (Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft, DPG) and its working group on equal opportunities (Arbeitskreis Chancengleichheit, AKC), which this year takes place at Technische Universität Ilmenau.
The DPT provides an opportunity for female physicists of different disciplines and career stages - from students to professors and industrial physicists - for networking and scientific exchange.
Apart from plenary, main and short presentations as well as poster sessions, the scientific program includes many other possibilities for exchange. There will be workshops and mentoring programs for students, doctoral students and postdoctoral students. Professors and physicists from industry will give an insight into their everyday work, their experiences on equality and reconciling work and family life. At the conference dinner and during the coffee breaks, you will have the opportunity to hold scientific discussions and make useful contacts.
Furthermore there will be offered an interesting and manifold social program.
The conference is under the patronage of the Federal Minister of Education and Research, Prof. Dr. Johanna Wanka.
Abstract submission is closed. Contributions of all fields of physics were submitted.
Online-registration is closed. However, you can make use of the registration on site at the conference office. We also welcome male participants.
Please come to the conference office to register and to receive your conference badge at first!
